AI Analysis
Stratosfi includes a unified AI chat assistant that can analyze stocks, explain financial concepts, compare companies, draw on your charts, create custom indicators, and build dashboards — all through natural language.

How to Use AI Chat
- Open the AI Chat tab or click the AI icon in the sidebar.
- Type your question in natural language.
- The AI responds with analysis, data, and explanations.
You can ask about any stock by including its ticker symbol. The AI automatically pulls current market data to inform its answers.
The AI is context-aware — it knows which chart you have open, what indicators are active, and what drawings are on screen. This lets it give answers specific to what you are looking at.

AI Chart Drawing
The AI can draw directly on your chart — support/resistance lines, trend lines, Fibonacci retracements, and more.
How It Works
- Open a chart for any stock.
- In AI Chat, describe what you want drawn:
- "Draw support and resistance lines on this chart"
- "Add Fibonacci retracement from the recent swing low to the high"
- "Mark the key trend line connecting the last 3 lows"
- The AI analyzes the price data, identifies the correct levels, and places the drawings on your chart.

Modifying AI Drawings
The AI can also update and remove drawings:
- "Move the support line down to $145"
- "Remove all horizontal lines"
- "Change the trend line color to blue"
After the AI places drawings, they behave like any other drawing — you can manually adjust, move, or delete them from the chart toolbar.
AI Plugin Management
The AI can list, activate, and create chart plugins — all through natural language.
Activating Built-in Plugins
Stratosfi ships with 40 built-in plugins. Instead of browsing the plugin menu, tell the AI what you need:
- "Show support and resistance on this chart" — activates the Support/Resistance plugin
- "Add RSI" — activates the RSI oscillator
- "Overlay QQQ on this chart" — activates Symbol Overlay with QQQ
- "Show me the correlation with major indices" — activates Correlation Scanner
- "Add Bollinger Squeeze" — activates the Bollinger Squeeze detector
The AI uses list_plugins to find the right builtin plugin and activate_plugin to turn it on with appropriate settings. Plugins activate instantly with default parameters, and you can adjust them from the configuration panel.
Creating Custom Plugins
When no built-in plugin matches your need, the AI creates one from scratch:
- "Create an indicator that shows when volume is 2x above the 20-day average"
- "Build a strategy that buys when RSI crosses above 30 and price is above the 50-day EMA"
- "Make an overlay that highlights gaps between today's open and yesterday's close"
The AI generates the plugin code and applies it to your active chart. You can then adjust parameters from the plugin configuration panel.
Server-Side Custom Plugins
The AI can also create server-side plugins that fetch data for other symbols. These plugins use sandbox data functions:
ctx.fetchOHLCV(symbol, {range, interval})— fetch price history for any symbolctx.fetchQuote(symbol)— fetch real-time quote datactx.fetchEarnings(symbol)— fetch earnings history and estimatesctx.fetchFinancials(symbol)— fetch financial statements
Example: "Create a plugin that compares AAPL and MSFT performance over the same period" — the AI generates a server-side plugin that fetches both symbols' data and overlays them.
See Chart Plugins and the Plugin API Reference for more details.

AI Dashboard Builder
The AI can generate entire custom dashboards from a description:
- "Build me a dashboard to monitor tech earnings"
- "Create a macro overview dashboard with yields, commodities, and forex"
See Custom Dashboards for full details on AI-generated dashboards.
AI Insights
Beyond the chat, the AI generates automatic insights for any stock you view:
- Sentiment Score — analysis of recent news and social media sentiment
- Technical Summary — what the indicators are saying (bullish, bearish, neutral)
- Key Risks — factors that could affect the stock negatively
- Peer Context — how the stock compares to its industry peers

Token Usage
AI analysis uses tokens, which are limited based on your subscription plan:
| Plan | Monthly Tokens | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 100,000 | $0 |
| Pro | 50,000,000 | $10/mo |
| Founding Member | 500,000,000 | $50/mo |
| Enterprise | 500,000,000 | $100/mo |
All plans include unlimited AI calls per day — the token budget is the real limit. You can check your remaining usage in Settings > Usage.
Limitations
- The AI does not have access to proprietary data sources — it works with publicly available market data.
- AI analysis is not financial advice. Always do your own research before making investment decisions.
- Complex multi-step analysis may take a few seconds to complete.
- The AI's knowledge has a cutoff date and may not be aware of very recent events unless they are reflected in the real-time market data.
Why Use This
Financial analysis that used to take hours of spreadsheet work and research can happen in seconds. The AI pulls live market data, runs comparisons, and synthesizes information from multiple sources into a clear, actionable summary. Beyond analysis, the AI is a hands-on tool — it draws on your charts, creates custom indicators, and builds dashboards, turning your ideas into visual analysis without manual effort. Whether you are preparing for an earnings call, trying to understand why a stock dropped, or building a custom trading setup, the AI handles the execution so you can focus on decisions.
How to Get Started
- Open AI Chat — click the AI Chat tab in the sidebar or the AI icon.
- Ask a direct question — type something specific like "Analyze NVDA" or "Compare MSFT vs GOOGL" and hit enter.
- Try chart drawing — open a chart, then ask the AI "Draw support and resistance lines on this chart" to see AI-powered drawing in action.
- Create a custom indicator — type "Create an indicator that highlights when RSI crosses below 30" and the AI builds and applies it to your chart.
- Follow up for depth — the AI remembers context within the conversation. After the initial analysis, ask "What are the main risks?" or "How does the valuation compare to the sector average?" to drill deeper.
Pro Tips
- Be specific to get specific answers: "Analyze AAPL's valuation compared to its 5-year average P/E" returns a far more useful response than "What about Apple?" Include time frames, metrics, or comparison targets in your prompt.
- Use the AI to decode your charts: If you see something on a chart but are not sure what it means, ask directly: "TSLA's RSI is 75 and MACD just crossed down — what does that suggest for the next week?" The AI combines the indicator signals with current fundamentals.
- Chain analyses for deeper insight: Start with "Analyze AMZN," then follow up with "How does it compare to its main competitors?" and then "Which one is the best value right now?" Each follow-up builds on the previous context.
- Ask for trade ideas with constraints: "I have $5,000 and want exposure to AI stocks with a P/E below 30" gives the AI enough context to suggest specific actionable ideas.
- Use AI Insights passively: Even if you do not ask a question, the automatic AI Insights panel on any stock page gives you a sentiment score, technical summary, and key risks at a glance.
- Let AI handle repetitive drawing: Instead of manually marking support and resistance on every stock in your watchlist, ask the AI to do it. It places lines at statistically significant levels based on recent price action.
- Combine drawing + analysis: Ask "Draw support and resistance on this chart and explain why you chose those levels" — the AI both draws and explains its reasoning.
Common Patterns
"Quick stock check"
You hear about a stock on the news and want a fast opinion. Type "Give me a quick analysis of PLTR" and the AI returns the current price, recent performance, valuation metrics, key risks, and a technical summary in under 10 seconds. This replaces what would be 15 minutes of opening multiple tabs and scanning financial sites.
"Earnings prep"
Before a company reports earnings, ask: "NFLX reports earnings tomorrow. What are the key metrics to watch, analyst expectations, and how has the stock reacted to the last 4 earnings reports?" The AI gives you a complete pre-earnings briefing. Follow up with "What options strategy would benefit from a post-earnings move in either direction?" for a volatility play.
"Chart markup"
You are reviewing 5 stocks in your watchlist. For each one, open the chart and tell the AI "Draw support, resistance, and the main trend line." In 30 seconds you have a fully annotated chart without drawing a single line manually. Then ask "Which of these setups looks most bullish?" for a quick ranking.
"Custom indicator"
You have a specific trading idea: you want to know when a stock's 5-day average volume is more than twice its 20-day average (a volume surge signal). Type "Create a plugin that shows when the 5-day volume average is more than 2x the 20-day volume average" and the AI generates the indicator, applies it to your chart, and you can immediately see which historical periods triggered the signal.
"Portfolio health check"
Paste your holdings or describe them: "My portfolio is 30% AAPL, 25% MSFT, 20% NVDA, 15% GOOGL, and 10% AMZN. How concentrated am I and what are the biggest risks?" The AI identifies sector concentration (you are 100% tech), correlation risk, and suggests specific diversification moves like adding healthcare or consumer staples exposure.
