Custom Dashboards

Dashboards let you build personalized views by combining widgets — charts, watchlists, news feeds, AI summaries, and more — into a single screen tailored to your workflow.

AI Dashboard Builder

Instead of adding widgets manually, describe what you want and the AI will build it:

  1. Click AI Builder in the dashboard toolbar.
  2. Describe your ideal dashboard: "I want to track FAANG stocks with charts, a combined news feed, and sector performance."
  3. The AI creates the layout with the appropriate widgets pre-configured.
  4. Adjust the result as needed.

Templates

Start from a pre-built template instead of a blank dashboard:

  • Day Trader — multiple charts, real-time movers, volume alerts
  • Investor — portfolio summary, watchlist, news, sector performance
  • Analyst — financial data, peer comparison, AI insights
  • Crypto — crypto prices, market dominance, trending coins

Why Use This

Every trader and investor has a different workflow. Some need five charts side by side. Others want a watchlist next to a news feed and an AI summary. Instead of clicking between tabs and losing context, dashboards put everything on one screen, tailored to your strategy. You build it once and then every time you sit down, your entire setup is ready. It is your personal command center for the market.

How to Get Started

  1. Create your first dashboard — go to the Dashboards tab and click New Dashboard. Name it something specific like "Morning Routine" or "Tech Watchlist."
  2. Add 3-4 widgets — click Add Widget and start with a Chart (set to SPY for the market), a Watchlist (add your top 5 tickers), and a News Feed (filtered to your sector). Drag and resize them until the layout feels right.
  3. Try the AI builder — click AI Builder and type "I want to track AAPL, MSFT, and GOOGL with charts, a combined news feed, and sector performance." The AI creates the whole layout in seconds. Adjust anything you do not like.

Pro Tips

  • One dashboard per strategy: Do not cram everything into one screen. Create separate dashboards — "Day Trading" with multiple short-term charts and movers, "Long-Term Portfolio" with sector performance and fundamental data, "Earnings Watch" with upcoming reports and AI summaries.
  • Use dashboard variables: Set a global symbol variable (e.g., $symbol = AAPL) so that all widgets on the dashboard update when you change it. This lets you quickly cycle through stocks without reconfiguring each widget.
  • Start from templates, then customize: The built-in templates (Day Trader, Investor, Analyst, Crypto) are good starting points. Pick the closest one to your needs and modify it rather than starting from scratch.
  • Keep live widgets under control: Each real-time chart widget consumes bandwidth. If your dashboard feels slow, reduce the number of live charts to 4-6 and use sparklines or quote panels for the rest — they are lighter.
  • Use the AI builder for iteration: The AI is not just for initial creation. After building a dashboard manually, click AI Builder and say "Add a widget showing RSI for all my watchlist stocks" to enhance your existing layout.

Common Patterns

"Earnings season dashboard"

Build a dashboard for the earnings week. Add an Economic Calendar widget filtered to earnings dates, a News Feed for the companies reporting this week, Chart widgets for the 3-4 stocks you care about most (e.g., AAPL, AMZN, META, GOOGL), and an AI Summary widget set to "Earnings preview for this week's mega-cap reports." Every morning you open this dashboard and have the full context for the day's events.

"Sector rotation monitor"

Create a dashboard with a Sector Performance heat map as the centerpiece. Add a Market Overview widget showing major indices, Chart widgets for sector ETFs (XLK for tech, XLF for financials, XLE for energy), and a News Feed filtered to macro/economic news. This layout lets you spot which sectors are leading and lagging, helping you rotate capital into strength.

"Crypto portfolio tracker"

Set up a dashboard with a Watchlist of your crypto holdings (BTC, ETH, SOL, etc.), Chart widgets for your top 2-3 positions, a News Feed filtered to crypto, and a Market Overview widget showing crypto market dominance. Add an AI Summary widget set to "Crypto market analysis" for a daily AI-generated briefing on market conditions.

  • Charts & Indicators — each Chart widget on your dashboard supports the full indicator suite (RSI, MACD, Bollinger, etc.)
  • AI Analysis — the AI Summary widget brings AI-powered insights directly into your dashboard
  • Stock Screener — pair the screener with a dashboard to monitor filtered results alongside your charts
  • Crypto Markets — crypto-specific widgets integrate seamlessly into any dashboard layout
